A Bit About Me
Angie-Michelle is a local El Paso treasure, a bold, colorful creative with over 20 years of experience bringing stories to life through paint, metal, and everything in between. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, she’s mastered a wide range of mediums including painting, drawing, mixed media, and art jewelry using both hot and cold connections. A proud graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, Angie-Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with a focus in Painting and a Minor in Metals. Her work has not only lit up canvases but has also been showcased across the city through commissions, community events, and two vibrant coloring books, I Love Us (2021) and I Love Us So Much! (2023), each one bursting with personality, representation, and love.

Angie-Michelle’s art is storytelling in full color. Drawing from her lived experience as a Black, Chicana, woman, she uses bright, expressive hues to celebrate identity, emotion, and connection. Every piece invites you into a world where feelings are welcome, stories are honored, and joy dances freely across the canvas. A former board member of the El Paso Art Association, she’s also a beloved teacher and mentor who lights the creative spark in others. Whether she’s leading a paint night or guiding new artists through their first brushstrokes, Angie-Michelle believes that art is for everyone—and that the canvas will always make room for our feelings.
